Thermal label

Thermal label is the most common tool for marking finished products, blanks and semi-finished products in production, accounting for goods in warehouses, tracking the position of goods and parcels in the supply chain. Self-adhesive labels

Self-adhesive labels differ in imaging technology. Distinguish:

• Thermal transfer labels are uniform labels with a white background, the image on which is formed by the ink layer of the ribbon, in the process of printing on a thermal transfer printer. The color of the ribbon is usually black, but there are ribbons of other colors (red, green, gold, silver, etc.). Thermal transfer labels do not fade, therefore they are recommended for marking products with a long turnaround cycle
• Thermal labels - labels with a special heat-sensitive layer, with a white (or other uniform light, so-called "color labels") background for printing on thermal printers or thermal transfer printers. Images are formed due to the blackening of the heat-sensitive layer at the points heated by the print head of the printer. This printing principle is well known to you, because it is used when printing a check on cash registers and fiscal registrars. Just like on receipts, the image on thermal labels tends to fade (fade) over time, so this method is recommended for marking and barcoding fast-turnover goods.

Terms of use

An important parameter for choosing a self-adhesive is the type of adhesive (adhesive layer) used. There are adhesives based on acrylic, rubber and special. Acrylic glue quickly adheres to the surface, adheres well to most types of plastics, glass, is transparent and tolerates ultraviolet light; poorly tolerates low (less than 10 degrees Celsius) temperatures. Rubber glue sets slowly, adheres well to polyethylene and scotch tape, tolerates temperatures from 0 to 10 degrees well, does not tolerate ultraviolet light, is opaque, when heated (for example, with a hairdryer) it softens strongly (which can be used to peel off the label). Separately, it is necessary to highlight special adhesives, which, for example, are needed for marking very hot products (rolled steel) or, conversely, very cold products in industrial refrigerators.

Roll labels

Self-adhesive thermal labels are available in rolls of 460, 500, 700, 1000 and more pieces per roll. Winding of stickers in a roll with an individual quantity is possible.
